Can the palace garden be visited?
Yes, the palace gardens are open to visitors from Friday to Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 17:00 PM. You can purchase a day pass at the door (€2,50).
However, in exceptional cases the gardens may be closed due to special (weather) circumstances. Therefore, always plan your visit and check the opening dates and times based on our opening hours.

How do I get to Soestdijk Palace?
Soestdijk Palace is located in the middle of the country and is easily accessible; on foot, by bike, by public transport and by car. See page accessibility. The walk from the ticket office to the palace is approximately 10 minutes. Are you having difficulty walking? We offer a golf cart transfer between the ticket office and the palace for a small fee.

Is there parking available at Soestdijk Palace?
Soestdijk Palace has its own closed parking lot (paid parking). Follow the signs from the provincial road or view the detailed route description. Please note, the car park closes at 17:15pm.

How much does parking cost?
Parking fees can be paid after your visit at the parking meter near the ticket office. The parking lot closes at 17:15 PM. Parking ticket: €7,50 (fixed price). 

Can coaches/buses park on site?
Visitors can get off at the regular bus stop next to the visitors entrance. Coaches can park briefly on the other side of the Amsterdamsestraatweg just before the intersection towards Soest.

Can I rent a space at Soestdijk Palace?
Yes, this is possible. Read more on the page Organiser, or contact us via organiseer@paleissoestdijk.nl to discuss the options.

Can I eat and/or drink at Paleis Soestdijk?
During opening hours, the Orangery is generally open for coffee, lunch, and snacks. Food and/or drinks may not be brought or consumed inside the palace. To enjoy coffee and snacks inside the palace, you can visit Jula's museum café in the basement during exhibitions. You can also pick up coffee to go from the Orangery and enjoy it while strolling through the palace gardens.

What are the payment options at Paleis Soestdijk?
At the ticket office, palace shop and Orangery you can only pay by PIN (not by credit card).

Is there a charging station available?
Yes, there is a charging station for electric bicycles, near the ticket office. There is no charging station for electric cars.

Is there a bicycle shed?
Yes, there are parking spaces available for bicycles.

Is Soestdijk Palace accessible for people in wheelchairs?
Yes, there are disabled parking spaces in our parking lot, next to the ticket office. You enter the estate at the ticket office. The estate is accessible for people with a wheelchair or walker, this does not apply to the Sports Park (Sports Pavilion and Play House). From the ticket office it is about a 5-minute walk to the Orangery and then a 5-minute walk to the palace. The wheelchair entrance is located at the front of the palace, to the left of the platform.

The first floor is not yet accessible for wheelchair users. The beautiful bel-etage is of course.

Are wheelchairs available for visitors?
Yes, there are wheelchairs and walkers available for visitors, these are located at the entrance ticket office. Our volunteers will be happy to assist you with this, ask about this at the entrance. Read more on the page Accessibility.

Are there disabled toilets at Soestdijk Palace?
Toilets for people using a wheelchair are available in both the Orangery and the palace.

Can I make phone calls, take photographs or film inside Soestdijk Palace?
It is not permitted to make phone calls or film inside the palace. Photography is permitted under certain conditions: no flash, no tripod, only for private use and photography is not permitted in all rooms, see the instructions per room or ask the staff on site about the possibilities.

Are dogs allowed at Soestdijk Palace?
The palace gardens are accessible to dogs, provided they are kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed inside the palace. This rule does not apply to official assistance dogs.

Can I smoke on the grounds of Soestdijk Palace?
Smoking is only allowed in the special smoking area.

Can I still purchase a palace garden pass?
The Palace Garden Pass (free) was one-time and was valid until August 31, 2025.
