Food and drinks
After a lovely walk through the palace garden of Soestdijk Palace or participation in a cultural programme, a cup of coffee, lunch or drink is a welcome addition to your visit.
The Orangery
The Orangery on the Soestdijk Palace estate is a beautiful catering facility, located between the Baarn wing and the route to the ticket office. The building, built in Empire style, was originally designed by architect LH Eberson for King William III. The white plastered pavilion was used at the time as a wintering place for laurels and citrus trees, hence the name “Oranjerie”.
The Orangery has now been transformed into an atmospheric catering facility where visitors to the estate can go. Whether it is a cup of coffee with something tasty, an extensive lunch, a royal high tea or a drink, the Orangery offers something for everyone. When the weather is nice, the terrace with a view of the palace is open. For those who prefer to go out, there is the possibility to pick up a coffee to go and walk into the palace garden.
The Orangery is open from 11:00 AM to 19:00 PM during opening days.
