A visit to the Soestdijk Palace Estate is for young and old! There is also plenty for children to discover and experience. For example, visit the Palace Garden together, where you can walk past impressive trees, bright pink artworks and hidden playhouses. This offers both children and adults an exciting and playful way to explore the estate.

Go on a treasure hunt in Soestdijk Palace and solve the Tasteful Mystery!

There's panic in the palace kitchen... The chef has lost the secret recipe for his famous Robert van Beckhoven dessert! And now, during the exhibition "The Taste of Soestdijk," the royal table simply has to shine. That's why we're looking for clever detectives who dare to embark on a quest through the magnificent halls of Soestdijk Palace.

During this treasure hunt through the palace, you'll wander through historic rooms like a true explorer, collecting the hidden ingredients step by step. Clues are hidden everywhere—but you'll have to look closely, search quietly, and stay alert…

Opening hours: 11:00 AM – 17:00 PM, last entry at 16:15 PM
Cost: Entrance to the palace is free for children under 12 years old, and the treasure hunt costs €2,50 (available at the ticket office, including a gift).

Searching in the palace park

Fashion designer and illustrator Michael Barnaart has created a delightful treasure hunt for children especially for Soestdijk Palace. Armed with a beautifully illustrated booklet and pencil in hand, young explorers will set off on a journey through the palace grounds. Become a real detective: discover secret nooks, crawl past royal trees, and search for hidden bridges between the trees. Found everything? Afterwards, display your answers in the Water Tower; you'll receive a surprise!

The treasure hunt including a coin for a surprise costs €3,50 and is available at the cash register.
