Soestdijk Palace is located in the heart of the Netherlands and is very accessible.

Route from the ticket office to the entrance of Soestdijk Palace

From the ticket office it is about 250 meters to the Orangery, and from the Orangery it is about 250 meters to the entrance of the palace. This is a total of about 10 minutes walk through the beautifully landscaped Zocher park.

Transport by golf cart

Are you having difficulty walking, do you use a walking aid or a wheelchair? For €2 (return trip) our golf cart will take you quickly and comfortably from the ticket office to the Palace and back again! Please report to the ticket office to use this service. 
Please note that due to limited spaces, you may have to wait for the next golf cart. 
This service is primarily intended for visitors with walking difficulties. These guests have priority for a place in the golf cart.

Accessibility for PlusBus drivers / other transport companies

Are you a driver of a PlusBus or another transport company that accompanies guests in wheelchairs and/or with walkers? We would like to welcome you and want to ensure that your visit goes as smoothly as possible. Upon arrival, you, the driver, will be requested to report to the ticket office. Make sure that you have valid tickets for your group, so that the ticket office employee can provide you with the necessary admission tickets. In addition, the employee will give you parking instructions to park as close as possible to the Palace, so that your guests in wheelchairs can easily get in and out. We wish you and your group a pleasant visit!

Wheelchair accessibility

Our parking lot has designated parking spaces for people using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, near the ticket office. The estate is accessible for people using wheelchairs or walkers, with the exception of the Sports Park (Sports Pavilion and Play House). The wheelchair entrance is located at the front of the palace, just below the family staircase on the right. The Juliana Lift makes only the main floor and the basement of the palace accessible to people using wheelchairs. Due to low thresholds, it is recommended that wheelchair users arrive with a companion. When planning your visit, please purchase tickets for yourself and your companion. Our volunteers will show you the way to the lift. The lift's floor area is 130 cm x 90 cm.

Are wheelchairs available for visitors?
Yes, there are wheelchairs and walkers available for visitors, these are located at the entrance ticket office. Our volunteers will be happy to assist you with this, ask about this at the entrance. Wheelchairs and walkers cannot be reserved in advance.

Toilet facilities
Toilets for people using a wheelchair are available in both the Orangery and the Palace.

mobility scooter
It is not possible to enter the Palace itself with a mobility scooter. We can offer you a wheelchair at the entrance.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are permitted on a leash, both in the Palace Gardens and inside the Palace. Official assistance dogs can be recognized by their harness, vest, or a dog training badge. Dogs not trained as assistance dogs are not permitted inside the Palace.
