The following rules apply in the park:
The wonderful park of Soestdijk Palace originates from the first half of the 19th century. The famous landscape architect Jan David Zocher Sr. designed the park in English landscape style with a free, apparently unforced lay-out in which the ground plan is characterized by long lines and supple forms. The aim was to create the unordered and picturesque quality of a real landscape.
The park is typified by countless special trees and shrubs, superb vistas, rustic lanes and bodies of water; many royal residents and guests have enjoyed time here.
The park also contains such attractions as the Wilhelmina Chalet, the former water-tower and the Springer Garden. You can enjoy a coffee or a full lunch in the Orangery.
The park of Soestdijk Palace can also be visited without a guided tour of the Palace. Tickets for the park cost € 5.00 and are available at the admission building.
